Center for Professional Education

Back

The Center for Professional Education was opened in April 2003 together with Kanagawa University of Human Services, in order to provide educational support to professionals in health and medical care fields as well as social welfare fields, to further grow to become advanced professionals while actively engaged in working.
The Center was specifically opened to implement one of the basic educational concepts of Kanagawa University of Human Services: to continue lifetime education.
The Center for Professional Education aims to train persons active in human services, and offers various types of educational programs for nursing, nutrition, long-term care and welfare professionals, as well as medical safety courses, multi-sector collaboration, classes of introduction to research, etc. We are committed to offer our educational programs to our students with the following objectives;

* To increase high level of knowledge leading to further understand human beings, by improvement of their understanding of professional ethics and awareness of human rights.
* To acquire and keep knowledge up to date and improve their skills, in order to respond to advanced technologies and diverse needs that are constantly changing.
* To have extensive knowledge and learn concepts relevant to each applicable field, so that they can further develop their capabilities to collaborate with related business sectors, in order to support patients and users at their very best.

By collaborative efforts with professionals in hospitals and welfare facilities, we also offer opportunities of practical research in order to solve various outstanding issues and problems.

The Center hopes that health, medical care and social welfare professionals will use the Center as a base for their study, research, seminars and information exchange, so that they may provide more global and well-cooperated services on their fields.
