世界に類をみない超高齢社会に突入し「人生100年時代」とも言われている本邦では、高齢者の健康寿命をいかに延伸するかが喫緊の課題となっています。本研究室では、主要な要介護原因である転倒・骨折、痛み、フレイル、サルコペニアに焦点を当て、これらの発生を予防する効果的なリハビリテーション戦略の開発を目指した臨床研究を展開しています。また、高齢者の方がいつまでも住み慣れた地域で自分らしい生活を営むためには、介護保険領域におけるリハビリテーションのエビデンスの構築は不可欠であり、本研究室では、要支援・要介護高齢者に対する生活期リハビリテーションの効果を検証する研究も展開しています。

• 平瀬准教授の筆頭論文「Risk factors for falls and fall-related fractures in community-living older people with pain: a prospective cohort study」がInt J Environ Res Public Healthに掲載されました．本研究は、痛みを抱えた地域在住高齢者の転倒発生には不安定面上での静的バランス能力の低下、うつ症状、身体活動量の低下が影響をおよぼしており、これらに着目した介入戦略が痛みを抱えた地域在住高齢者の転倒予防対策に寄与する可能性を示唆した内容になります．2023年6月5日
• 平瀬准教授の筆頭論文「Preventive effect of an intervention program with increased physical activity on the development of musculoskeletal pain in community-dwelling older adults: a randomized controlled trial」がPain Med（IF=3.637）に掲載されました．本研究は、地域在住高齢者に対する身体活動促進プログラムが痛みの新規発生を予防するだけでなく認知機能や心理面も改善することをランダム化比較試験で検証した内容になります．2023年5月12日
