(Summary)

This field study was conducted in Cambodia for the first time in two years for the purpose of learning about Cambodia's healthcare system and entrepreneurship. Over half of the facilities visited were new to us. Through facility visits and activities with local people, we understood the current situation of healthcare in Cambodia. Additionally, we were given valuables talks based on the experiences when launched new activities in Cambodia including the background leading to the start of their activities, their motivation for carrying them out, the hardships they faced by entrepreneurs. This allowed us to touch upon essential components in entrepreneurship that likely cannot be learned from textbooks. It reaffirmed the importance of “going to the field ourselves, identifying questions (challenges) there, and proactively taking action to solve them.” We would like to express our sincere gratitude once again to the staff at the facilities who provided us with the opportunity to visit for this field study.

We place strong emphasis on collaboration with Southeast Asia and plan to organize similar fieldwork experiences next year and beyond, aiming to further expand our partnerships in the region.
