Back

On September 14, an online exchange seminar for international students took place with the WHO Collaborating Centre at Gunma University.

The seminar aimed to promote future collaboration on research projects between the two WHOCCs and to contribute to the development of the next generation of researchers who will engage in WHOCC-related research activities. A total of 26 faculty members, staff, and students from the two WHOCCs participated in the seminar.

During the seminar, five international students from our university and five international students from Gunma University presented their ongoing research projects. The presentations covered a wide range of topics, including studies examining the validity of healthcare-related assessment measures in the participants’ respective countries, as well as research on mental health.

The participating graduate students, representing diverse nationalities and academic backgrounds, shared their research findings and challenges, followed by lively discussions and an exchange of perspectives among the participants.

This seminar marked the first exchange event between the two WHOCCs and provided a valuable opportunity for students and researchers to learn about each other’s research. The discussions also highlighted the potential for the two WHOCCs to strengthen their collaboration through joint research projects in the future.

We look forward to continuing and expanding exchanges between the two WHOCCs, contributing to the development of an international research network and the cultivation of the next generation of researchers.

We look forward to further strengthening collaboration with the WHO Collaborating Centre at Gunma University and other institutions in Japan and abroad, and to applying these experiences to the advancement of our educational and research activities.
