Since its establishment in 2019, SHI has pursued education and research in public health, including the promotion of healthier lifestyles and healthy longevity.In recognition of these efforts, on March 26, 2025, SHI was designated as a WHO Collaborating Centre (WHOCC) by the World Health Organization (WHO).A WHO Collaborating Centre is an institution designated by the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) to support the Organizationʼ s activities.There are currently 797 such institutions in 94 countries worldwide, and 33 in Japan, including our university, have been designated as WHOCCs.Among graduate schools of public health in Japan, ours is the only institution to have received this designation.
